Albatross
I can see you all from here
the places where
I’ve been
the faces that I’ve
seen.
A world lost in thoughts
and wonder.
I’ve been you.
I’ve worked a hard day,
with thoughts filled
with me, them
and evil and
neglect,
found it difficult to
cope
in a new world
order.
Nations collapse and change,
evolving overnight.
Fear and panic on the screens –
their faces.
Much deception on the land;
on the open seas
a chance to dive
with grace
beyond the dreaming
days
and your
measurement of time
your flowing fields
and furnaces
billowing with burning
barricades.
I have no curse of Babel
to defend my
freedom from,
but a warm heart.
I’m alive
on the lifeline
of Atlantis’
spirit.
